If you find someone when you're not looking then why look?

What is the point of online dating if you're supposed to find someone when you lease expect it. Judging someones character by 500 words or less about themselves seems silly at best but it's what 1,000s of people are doing to find love. I'm debating takin down my profile again after only 4 weeks of dating again but the allure keeps me wanting to keep it. Maybe this guy is waiting for me and will send me a message tomorrow? Who knows? I'll keep on with it until spring break then it's time to buckle down and get serious about school and ill disable my account once again. If anyone is reading this please comment so I can see you!

Second date update

So I went on a second date with the guy I thought I really liked before. This time he was acting sort of strange making sexual innuendos that were crossing the line just a little bit. I went to ask him what he was looking for and he answered with "I dot know". I don't know why someone would go as far to create an online profile, message girls, and go on dates and pay for said dates and not know what they are looking for. It seems a little premature and adolescent to me.

Oh well you win some you lose some. As Jay-Z says "on to the next one!"

Wondering

Do you ever have that feeling that no matter who you meet it probably still isn't going to end up going anywhere?

So I am sitting in a cafe the next morning waiting for my breakfast sandwich and reflecting on my date last night. We went out for drinks but ended up eating dinner as well. He is really sweet and funny (love sarcastic humor). And his humor is accented with misunderstandings because he is foreign so it ends up being that much funnier. Anyway we will definitely be going out again and I'm exciting about it.

So I have been exchanging messages with this guy for a couple days and we both seem to be interested in each other and get along really well. We are going out for drinks tonight and I'm even a little bit nervous! I hope it goes well because I want to find someone I'm compatible with.

Strange proposals

So today I received a message from someone who was obviously sending out a mass email about wanting to have someone for a sugar baby/ sugar daddy. Don't they have actual sites for that so you don't have to bother people who are actually looking for a meaningful relationship?? I was very turned off by this message and it's stuff like this which makes me want to end online dating.

There is another guy who I have been exchanging messages the last few days who seems like someone I would really get along with so I would be excited to go out with him! Ah the ups and downs of dating (online)

Welcome!

I am starting this blog to detail my adventures in online dating in 2012! I have tried it in the past but decided to dive back in, hoping that someone is out there also searching for me. I wish I was Carrie Bradshaw and had her knack for prose, but alas I am just a single girl in Boston looking for.... something. Update tomorrow on the first three weeks of January and my thoughts in general.
